January 7, RACE at Magic Mtn has been POSTPONED to February 26, 2012!!!!!
We at the NYCDSC would like to acknowledge the tremendous devastation New York State and Vermont received from hurricane Irene. Many of our members, friends and associates were effected by this. We hope everyone is okay and we as an organization are looking into ways to help out. We have put together a committee to look into sending donations to those areas effected. I hope others from our organization will also follow in donating their time and help to those in need.
What a winter! I hope everyone had an opportunity to enjoy a few good days on the slopes. The council is working on the 2011-2012 season and looking for ideas and suggestion. Please email us president@nycdsc.org or join us at one of our meeting if you have ideas or would like to help out.
The purpose of the Council is to promote interest and participation in recreational and competitive armature skiing. Presently the council consists of seven ski clubs with over 3,000 members. We enjoy skiing, snow boarding, tele skiing, racing, biking, hiking, camping, golfing, roller blading, along with many other activities. Our member clubs ski here in the Northeast, all over North America and Europe. The council has special promotional days set up with a large group of ski areas to help promote skiing. Council Fun Day July 24, 2010 turned out to be a hot, humid day in Lake George. Seven members had an adventure of a life time. Check out Paula Moir our secretary walking 25' in the air on loose logs. Mike Baker can't wait to catch up to Paula, but Dick does not seam to mind waiting.

SWC Gore Race February 11, 2007. We have DVD's available for $25.00 for the race. Gore provided 3 people to video the race top to bottom. They have peiced it together for you.
